Envision the number of seconds in a single day as a bank account with 86,400 dollars. Imagine that someone wrongs you one day and costs you 10 of those dollars. It makes sense to want to get that money back. It can be justified to spend additional money trying to find justice and compensation. However, if you spend 10,000 dollars trying to get back that 10, you have allowed yourself to be robbed of significantly more than those 10 initial dollars. It doesn’t take an advanced degree in economics to know that’s a bad use of your money.
Sometimes it’s better to let things go.
